Cleveland Clinic London project team makes PPE donation
As demand for PPE soars, our Cleveland Clinic project team help out by donating to voluntary organisations in the Westminster area.
Six Westminster voluntary and community organisations have received a share of personal protective equipment (PPE) donated by Cleveland Clinic London and its construction team, which is led by Sir Robert McAlpine as construction manager.
Age UK Westminster, the Cardinal Hume Centre, the Abbey Centre, Paddington Development Trust, Active Westminster and Age Concern all received a share of the PPE which included over 5,000 face masks, 10,500 gloves and 99 litres of hand sanitiser.
The organisations have been at the heart of the emergency response in the city, supporting vulnerable or in-need residents. The PPE will help ensure that their frontline teams are able to continue their work with their service users.
Cleveland Clinic London, which is currently under construction, delivered the PPE to City Hall where it was distributed to the voluntary and community organisations by Westminster Connects – the council’s service to coordinate volunteers with those who need help.
This project is a great example of Westminster’s business and voluntary and community sectors coming together to support the city’s most vulnerable residents. Two of the organisations explained how the PPE donation has allowed them to continue their work with residents across the city.
