Proud to sign the Inspiring Women in Construction Pledge
We are proud to sign the Inspiring Women in Construction Pledge and contribute to addressing gender inequality in the industry.
As part of our ongoing commitment to driving a truly inclusive culture where everyone is welcome, we have signed the Inspiring Women in Construction Pledge launched by Construction News.
We are determined to lead on inclusion and inspire change across our industry and beyond.
Being a more inclusive business not only aligns with our strong family values but is fundamental to helping us realise our ambition to be the Best Place to Work. By promoting a culture where everyone feels comfortable to be who they truly are, and are rewarded on their merit, we attract the best talent from the widest spectrum of backgrounds.
The Inspiring Women in Construction Pledge is a Construction News initiative to encourage companies to prioritise equality, diversity and inclusion. The Pledge contributes to our ongoing commitment to strive for a more inclusive industry, improve business environments for women and champion equal representation on boards.
By signing the Pledge, we agree to support the initiatives and aspire to change in areas including:
- Attract, develop, and promote more women in our company and industry, and do this in a fair way;
- Close our Gender Pay Gap;
- Champion and recognise the achievements of women;
- Work collaboratively to create an environment that welcomes and helps retain women.
We are proud to sign the Inspiring Women in Construction Pledge and contribute to addressing gender inequality in the industry. Sir Robert McAlpine is committed to driving a truly inclusive culture that welcomes everyone and promotes greater diversity. With initiatives, such as our Beyond 1% podcast, we have been actively promoting women in senior positions as role models to attract more women to construction and engineering careers. We feel we have a collective responsibility to pursue those efforts towards a reduction of the gender pay gap.
