National Apprenticeship Week 2026: Emelie Dillane & Victoria Inglis
We kick off this year's National Apprenticeship week with an insight into the role of our Apprentice Sustainability Managers
This year’s National Apprenticeship Week theme, Skills for Life, shines a spotlight on the practical, future‑focused capabilities needed to drive meaningful change across the built environment.
At Sir Robert McAlpine, apprentices are already playing a vital role in embedding those skills into live projects.
Our Apprentice Sustainability Managers, Emelie Dillane and Victoria Inglis (pictured, right), are part of a new generation helping to redefine what a career in construction can look like.
Both are gaining hands‑on experience on some of London’s most high‑profile developments, including 1 Broadgate, 2 Finsbury Avenue and the London Museum, alongside their studies.
Emelie and Victoria are demonstrating how combining academic study with real‑world experience can fast‑track both technical expertise and professional confidence. Together, they offer a compelling insight into how apprenticeships are helping to build a more sustainable future for construction.
